Elizabeth has a Bachelors in Biochemistry, a Masters in Space Studies and an MBA but when she found Islam, she knew she had to start learning everything from the ground up. No shortcuts. Just a lot of heart, questions, and determination. From figuring out how to pray, to explaining Islam to her friends and family, it’s been a journey of real growth, and it hasn’t always been easy.
Through health struggles, a busy home life, and raising her young son, she stayed committed. She found her footing in Islamic studies and now takes multiple classes through Rabata. And with every class, every page, her faith deepens, and her vision gets clearer.
She wants to give back in a big way. She’s building a local support network for convert sisters, dreams of starting an organization just for reverts, and even hopes to launch a Muslim homesteading community where families can reconnect with nature and faith, together.
Whether it’s teaching, organizing, or just being there for others who feel lost like she once did, she’s stepping up. Her story isn’t just about learning, it’s about building something real for the next generation of Muslims. And with a little help, she’s ready to take that impact even further.
Help an aspiring Islamic Scholar.
If we believe the Islamic Scholars are the beating heart of our community, then we must nurture the growth of the Scholars Development Waqf to foster the advancement of Islamic scholars in Toronto and Canada.
