Muhammad began his Islamic studies at just 13 and went on to graduate at the top of his class from Al-Khalil Academy in Toronto after completing the ‘Alimiyyah program in six years. His commitment didn’t stop there, he’s continued with advanced independent studies, mastering foundational and complex texts in Hadith, Arabic grammar, legal theory, and theology.

Yeasmin is walking two paths at once and doing it with purpose. By day, she’s a medical science student at the University of Toronto. By night, she’s deep in the books of Fiqh, Usul as Fiqh, and Qur’anic studies, now in her 5th year of a 7-year ‘Alimiyyah program at Al Khalil Academy.

After completing his undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from York University, Tariq felt a deeper calling, one rooted in faith and responsibility. For over a decade, he’s pursued Islamic knowledge through rigorous independent study and with esteemed teachers, covering core texts in Arabic, Aqida, Hanafi Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and more.

Ayesha is juggling two big things right now, studying Respiratory Therapy at Conestoga College and working her way through the ‘Alimiyyah program. But for her, learning Islam isn’t just about taking classes, it’s about becoming someone who can really make a difference in her community.

Usaid is on a mission, to help his community fall in love with Islam and actually understand it. He’s deep into his Islamic studies right now, taking courses in Fiqh, Usul al Fiqh, Hadith, and Arabic through the Sacred Texts Institute, Cordoba Academy, and private lessons. He’s serious about knowledge, and even more serious about passing it on.

Maliha grew up in a family where everyone was doing something amazing for the deen: her brother’s a Hafidh, her sister studied at a Darul Uloom, and her brother-in-law’s training to be a Mufti.

After earning a degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Carleton University, Muhammad turned his focus to his Deen, committing over 15 years to Islamic studies under the guidance of respected scholars.

Elizabeth has a Bachelors in Biochemistry, a Masters in Space Studies and an MBA but when she found Islam, she knew she had to start learning everything from the ground up. No shortcuts. Just a lot of heart, questions, and determination.

Currently in his third year at Ma’had Abi Ayoub al-Ansari in Istanbul, Turkey, he has completed two years of intensive training in key Islamic sciences including Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tafsir, Hadith, Arabic grammar, logic, and more. His commitment to seeking knowledge is both deep and deliberate, driven by the realization that the most important part of his life, his faith, needed more than just belief, it needed understanding.
