Muhammad began his Islamic studies at just 13 and went on to graduate at the top of his class from Al-Khalil Academy in Toronto after completing the ‘Alimiyyah program in six years. His commitment didn’t stop there, he’s continued with advanced independent studies, mastering foundational and complex texts in Hadith, Arabic grammar, legal theory, and theology. He is now studying in Tinkert, Morocco at al-Madrasah al-'Atiqah under their respected Scholars.
His current studies include Maliki Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, logic, and other advanced works in Islamic theology and Arabic grammar. His dedication to preserving and mastering traditional scholarship is matched only by his vision for the future, to raise the next generation of students who not only study the Islamic sciences, but contribute to their growth and relevance in modern society.
His goal is threefold: first, to attain a level of scholarship that allows him to teach the next generation in a pristine, unadulterated way; second, to defend the faith against misrepresentation; and third, to help every day Muslims access and apply Islam correctly in their lives.
He’s already served the community by teaching Quran and Islamic studies to children and leading Friday prayers in Toronto. Once he returns, he plans to launch in-person classes rooted in authentic tradition and designed for real-world impact.
By supporting him, you’re not just investing in one student, you’re helping shape a Canadian Muslim who will preserve the sacred sciences, guide the next generation, and serve as a shield against confusion and misapplication in our communities. His pursuit is not just about learning, it’s about preserving the Prophetic legacy.
Help an aspiring Islamic Scholar.
If we believe the Islamic Scholars are the beating heart of our community, then we must nurture the growth of the Scholars Development Waqf to foster the advancement of Islamic scholars in Toronto and Canada.
